Why did you start running?
I started running when I was 13 because I wanted to be with my Uncle David, who was running at the time.

What/who motivates you to run?
Feeling good about myself keeps me motivated.

What is a typical training week?
I run 3-4 days a week and do strength training on my days off from running.

Favourite session?
Morning runs

Least favourite session?
My least favourite is going out after work. I run errands and cook for my grandson Marquel who I am raising, but I still must get my run in which ends up being a late evening session.

Road or trail?

Top 5 songs on your running playlist?
I listen to Pandora radio.

Do you run alone or with a group?
I love to run alone. I only run as part of a group when I participate in races.

What other training do you do?
Strength and mental training.

What is your greatest running achievement so far?
My greatest achievement was running the Buffalo Half Marathon in 2 hours, 45 minutes, beating my finish time in last year’s race.

What was your last race?
My last race was The Buffalo Half Marathon on May 29, 2022.

What are your future running goals?
To run the Buffalo Marathon next year for which I’m already registered.

What’s on your running bucket list?
To run the full marathon in May 2023.

What advice would you give to someone who is just starting to run?
Enjoy it! Don’t worry if you need to walk/run. Start off with small or short distance goals until you build up your endurance.

What do you like to do when not running?
When I’m not running, I think about running!

What would you name the autobiography of your running life?
Keep moving.
